The Trailside Mechanic

Description

What do you when your bike is mechanical problems and calling it a day or wheeling into a bike shop just isn't an option? Join Swift Industries co-founder, Jason 'Goods', for a hands-on mechanics class on April 18, 2015, from 9am to 11:30am.

Specifications: This class is not for the home mechanic it is for the bicycle adventurer. Confidently address snapped spokes, a broken chain, or an en route derailleur fail. In this workshop we will look at specific tools and tricks of the trade when these mechanicals catch you by surprise.

Who should take this class?

Mountain bikers, adventure-cyclists, folks heading on rural bike tours and long-distance day rides. This is not an advanced mechanics class, however, you should know roadside basics like repairing a flat, and have a good understanding of the anatomy of a wheel and the components of the drivetrain.
