Get your bike in gear for some friendly competition. September is Bike to Work Month in Portland, which means it is time once again to team up with workmates for the annual Bike Commute Challenge sponsored by the Bicycle Transportation Alliance (BTA).

During sign up, participants choose a reward level that grants them access to perks like a Bike Commute Challenge T-shirt, bicycle lights from Portland Design Works and discounts on purchasing or renewing memberships to the BTA.

Teams will compete in categories based on a workplace’s size and sector to see who can get the most employees to log the most bike miles on their work commutes during September.

Winners from each category will be announced at an after party in early October.
