From The Did You Know? Department: More than 20,000 people are predicted to bike to work tomorrow  in celebration of F5 Bike to Work Day. The mild weather this May and the rising price of gas at the pump has enticed many thousands of people to choose a bicycle as their means to get to and from work. On May 7, Seattle’s Bike Counter located on the Fremont Bridge counted a record 5,103 crossings by bicycle just at this location.

More than 14,000 people representing over 1,000 employers are participating in the Commute Challenge, presented by Adobe.  As of this week, challenge riders have logged nearly 700,000 miles ridden by bike since May 1. This translates into 33 million calories burned and puts us well on the way to saving a million pounds of CO2 emissions this month!
