Nitro Snowboards is going into its 24th year of making standout snowboards, bindings, boots and snow apparel. When the company opened its doors in Seattle, Wash., it aimed to create race boards for boarder who wanted to maximize speed and wanted the best carving.

As Nitro has evolved into an international brand, the company has added designs for free riding. Many of its new models are more flexible and playful than ever before.

“We want to make snowboarding more accessible to more people,” says Knut Eliassen, International Marketing Manager at Nitro Snowboards. “So, we carry boards that will appeal to every generation.

“You’re going to see boards for grandpa, boards for kids. We want people to go out and enjoy the mountains and really see how fun it can be.”

This year, Nitro is bringing back an 18-year-old design called the Pyro – an asymmetrical board that is perfect for free-ride carving. It’s a little softer than many of today’s models and ideal for park riding.
