Spring Pond Skimming

Spring is here, but there is still a lot of fun to have on the slopes. It’s just about time to bring out your finest costumes (Batman or otherwise), colorful regalia or teeny bikini to take a pond skimming challenge at one of these fine snow resorts in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana or B.C.
How does it work? Strap on your skis or board and barrel down a small snow hill toward a frigid pond filled with water and slush, and then gracefully skim across the top of the pond without getting wet. It’s just as fun to watch as it is to participate.
