National Wakeboard Tour

Monroe to host National Wakeboarding Tour

Monroe will host some of the top professional wakeboarders from around the world when the two-day MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour splashes in at Lake Tye July 8-9. Monroe is the fourth stop on the five-city Tour. This is the Pro Tour’s first Washington stop since 1995.

The MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour stop in Monroe will be free to the public on Friday, July 8 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the preliminary rounds for the Pro Men and the amateur Jr. Pro Men’s divisions. The event will wrap up in Monroe on Saturday, July 9, with the ticketed event starting at 11 a.m.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate for $13 (general admission), $5 (ages 6-12) or free (ages 5 and under).

For more information, including daily schedules, tickets, TV air dates, photos, videos, athlete bios, results, standings and more, visit www.allisports.com/pro-wakeboard-tour.

The two-day event will feature pro wakeboarders competing in a series of elimination rounds, performing rail tricks and aerial stunts, while being pulled on the water by the official Pro Tour towboat, the MasterCraft X-Star, at a speed of approximately 25 mph. Tricks will be evaluated by a panel of judges, with only the top-scoring athletes advancing in each round until a winner is determined in the finals.

Following the final rounds of action, the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour will also host a Double Up Contest and a Big-Air Challenge. The Double Up contest and Big-Air Challenge are two exhibition events, designed to feature select athletes performing exciting and innovative new tricks that aren’t normally attempted in competition.

In addition to all the action on the water; on land, fans will enjoy great food; athlete autograph signings; chances to win freebies and shopping at the most cutting-edge stores for wakeboard equipment and apparel. At the Pro Tour’s entertainment stage, guests can catch athlete interviews, color commentators and interactive live music.
