Car-free Bicycle Sundays return

Cyclists in Seattle and Portland will once again enjoy car-free Sundays on popular boulevards this summer.

Portland’s Sunday Parkways includes July 28 in North Portland; Aug. 25 in Southeast Portland; and Sept. 29 in Southwest Portland. The closed-street events are free and run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. www.PortlandSundayParkways.org or call (503) 823-7599.
Seattle’s Bicycle Sundays are scheduled June 30, July 7, 14, Aug. 25 and Sept. 1, 15 and 22. Lake Washington Boulevard will be closed to motorized vehicles south of Mount Baker Beach to the Seward Park entrance from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on those days.
