The Hog Loppet will celebrate 25 years on Saturday, Feb. 23. The non-competitive 30-kilometer ski trek from the top of Mission Ridge to Blewett Pass in Central Washington is put on by the Leavenworth Winter Sports Club (LWSC) and has only been canceled a few times due to road closure, avalanche danger or low snowpack (like last year). Online registration closes Feb. 21, and is encouraged as the race is capped at 600 skiers. This event is one of a few classic Northwest ski races not to be missed.
