Icicle Brewing Company hosts photography invitational
Leavenworth, Wash.
Icicle Brewing Company hosts Summer Framed 2013, its first summer photography contest, on Sept. 28. The aim of the invitational is to showcase the diverse recreational opportunities, lifestyles and landscapes that make Leavenworth, Wash., and the Upper Wenatchee Valley beautiful and distinct.
Five of the best action-sports photographers in the Pacific Northwest have been invited to participate in the event. They will each have 3 days, from Sept. 24-26, to capture images and create slideshows of 3-5 minutes in length.
Their work will be presented at the Snowy Owl Theater from 7-10 p.m. on Sept. 28. After the slideshow, Icicle Creek Center for the Arts will premier STAND, a surf and SUP film with an environmental twist. Icicle Brewing beer will, of course, be near at hand.
As a precursor to the main event, Icicle Brewing Company will host a slideshow from Icicle TV’s online “Framed Open” photo contest, which is open to the public. There will be live music from 6-10 p.m. and a slideshow from 7-8 p.m.
