Celebrate mountain-biking trails, people and culture with Northwest Trail Alliance (NWTA) at Trailfest 2013 on Sept. 20-22.

Festivities will kick off with the Forest Park Night Ride Poker Run on Friday evening in Portland, Ore., where cyclists will collect playing cards at five different stops and compare poker hands at the end of the night over a pitcher of beer. All ability levels are welcome.

On Saturday, folks in Oregon can take their families over to the Pump Track Play Date in Ventura Park or enjoy a party with free pizza, beer, and live music at Velocult bike shop in Portland. Event-goers in Washington can head over to the family-friendly Bike Park Blowout at Castle Rock mountain bike park or for a fun group ride at Lewis River.

Wind down on Sunday with the bike demo at Sandy Ridge in Portland, Ore. Passes for the demo are $10 for members and $30 for non-members. All proceeds will go to the Sandy Ridge Trail Fund.

Want more ways to support mountain biking in the Northwest? NWTA is also raising funds to transform 38 acres of unused land into a bike park in East Portland. For more information, head over to www.indiegogo.com/projects/build-gateway-green.
