Seattle: Carbon neutral by 2050?

Reducing greenhouse gas emissions
This past Monday was Earth Day, and the Seattle City Council honored it by announcing a new initiative: the Climate Action Plan. Its bold goal is carbon neutrality by the year 2050. This is not a finalized plan – rather, the Council is seeking input from citizens on how to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The City’s website has directions on where to send comments, and there is a public Town Hall on May 7 at the University Heights Center at 6 p.m. All are welcome! Come have a say in Seattle’s future.
