Stevens Pass Earns Top Environmental Rank

Leavenworth, Wash.
Stevens Pass Mountain Resort earned the highest ranking in the U.S. from the Ski Area Citizen’s Coalition (SACC) for its green initiatives.
This is the fifth year in a row that Stevens Pass has earned an A grade from SACC, and the third year in a row that it has been listed among the top 10 resorts in the nation.
“We are tremendously pleased to earn the number one slot in this year’s Report Card, especially coming on the heels of our number two ranking last year,” says John Meriwether, environmental sustainability manager for Stevens Pass. “It’s an honor to receive recognition of our accomplishments at Stevens Pass.”
Stevens Pass was recognized for its 100 percent carbon offset, the first electric car chargers at any mountain pass in the country, solar panels and an extensive composting program.
