Leavenworth and Ellensburg, Wash.

Icicle Brewing Company of Leavenworth, Wash., and Iron Horse Brewery of Ellensburg, Wash., are kicking off a fundraising effort called “Beer Vs. Fire” to raise $12,000 to help victims affected by the Carlton Complex, Snag Canyon, Chiwaukum Complex and South Cle Elum Ridge fires.

“It’s an ambitious goal,” says Pam Brulotte, owner of Icicle Brewing Company, “but we believe with the support of our wholesale partners and retailers this can happen.”

Keep an eye out for special marked “Beer Vs. Fire” bottles of Icicle Brewing Company’s new Crosscut Pilsner and Iron Horse Brewery’s 22-ounce 509 Style ale. The fundraiser bottles will be available at bars and grocery stores in Eastern Washington starting at the end of August.

Funds will be directed to the local Red Cross, specifically designated for the fires.
