Free Day in Washington State Parks Aug. 25

Washington State
Visitors to day-use areas in Washington State Parks can visit without a Discover Pass on Aug. 25 in honor of the National Parks’ birthday.
Each year, there are up to 12 free days in Washington State Parks as part of the Discover Pass legislation. There will be two more free days this year: Sept. 27, in recognition of National Public Lands Day, and Nov. 11, in honor of Veterans Day.
The Discover Pass is still required to access lands managed by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) and the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) on these days.
If your outdoor plans include a campfire or other open flames, check the burn-ban status before you head out: http://www.parks.wa.gov/AlertCenter.aspx
