Brundage Mountain Resort

Brundage Mountain Resort has invested in a half-million dollar project to add more than 3,200 square feet of indoor and outdoor space to help create a hassle-free lodge experience.

This winter, keep an eye out for new ticket windows and Guest Services facilities near the parking lot, and new decks on the south and southeast sides of the lodge.

Brundage trail crews have constructed a scenic, one-mile nature trail for snowshoers. www.brundage.com

Lookout Pass Ski and Recreation Area

Plans for expansion are on the horizon at Lookout Pass Ski and Recreation Area, located on the Panhandle. Phase One of the project could add two new lifts and several new runs in the next few years.

Lookout Pass’ terrain park areas have grown significantly in recent years with the help of partners like Red Bull energy drink. Lookout now includes three terrain parks, 35 park features and six jumps.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of Lookout’s free ski school for youth ages 6 –17. www.skilookout.com

Lost Trail Powder Mountain

Located on the Idaho-Montana border, Lost Trail Powder Mountain boasts “the most diverse terrain in the region,” which might be why the park’s two terrain parks are so different.

Front Country Park provides options to play with big features and big air off of Chair 1.

And, Powder Park combines natural features with tables, boxes and more, making it a great starting point for beginners. www.losttrail.com

Schweitzer Mountain Resort

Schweitzer Mountain Resort tested a new “Kids/Parents Night Out” program last year, and it’s back again this season. Let professional staff entertain your kids while you have some fun in the Village. There’s a $25 deposit for each child ($50 max), but if your receipt from the evening shows that you spent more than $50 on your night out, you get your deposit back.

Schweitzer’s new “Ski FREE in 3” program includes three lessons, three lift tickets and three equipment rentals for $159. Skiers must be 13 or older. www.schweitzer.com

Silver Mountain Resort

Also located in the panhandle of northern Idaho, about 70 miles east of Spokane, Washington, Silver Mountain is enticing snow enthusiasts to hit the slopes early on Saturday mornings this season. Its First Tracks program will include breakfast and early access to fresh fallen snow.

Silver Mountain has also rearranged start times for the 800-foot tubing hill to add an extra session on weekends.

A new webcam with night vision will be installed on the top of Kellogg Peak and aimed at a snow stake and temperature gauge, so guests can see real-time conditions. www.silvermt.com

Sun Valley Resort

Sun Valley Resort has temporarily closed the Sun Valley Lodge to give it a whole new look and even more amenities. Updates will include the addition of a 20,000-square-foot service spa and salon. Look for a grand opening celebration in June, 2015.

Adjacent to the Spa, guests will also enjoy a beautiful new outdoor swimming pool and pool café framed by views of Bald Mountain.

During the renovation and closure of the Lodge, the Sun Valley Inn, cottages and condominiums, as well as restaurants, retail shops, entertainment venues and ski mountains will be fully operational. www.sunvalley.com

Tamarack Resort

Tamarack Resort, located in the heart of Idaho’s Payette River Mountains, has invested approximately $2.6 million in improvements for this ski season and—after several years of being open four days a week—will resume seven-day operations this year.

The resort has refined its snowmaking system, upgraded its ski rental fleet, added new snow cats and snowmobiles for grooming, improved and expanded its terrain park, and cleared brush and undergrowth on the slopes. www.tamarackidaho.com

Hi there would you mind sharring which blog platform you’re working with?

I’m looking to start my own blog in the near future
but I’m having a difficult time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design and stule seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something
completely unique. P.S My apologies for being off-topic
    but I had to ask!
