You can transform the life of an individual with a disability this winter by helping him or her learn how to downhill or cross-country ski, snowboard or snowshoe! Volunteer with Outdoors for All – a national leader and one of the largest nonprofit organizations providing year-round adaptive instruction in outdoor recreation for children and adults with physical, developmental and sensory disabilities.
Winter volunteer roles include instructors (downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing), drivers, bus and van chaperones, equipment managers and mountain office assistant/lodge chaperones. Programs operate on the weekends at The Summit at Snoqualmie and Steven Pass. There is a seven-week series that runs during January and February and a three-week series in March.
As an added benefit, full-time instructors are eligible to purchase a discounted season pass at the mountain they volunteer at. All other volunteers will receive a complimentary lift ticket for each day they volunteer.
