National Park Week

April 16, 2015
National Park Week is April 18-26, 2015
The National Park Service invites you to celebrate the opening weekend of National Park Week by providing free entry to all national parks April 18-19.
The weekend includes National Junior Ranger Day on Saturday, April 18 where youth under 18 can explore the forest with park rangers, examine the microscopic world of plants and insects, go on a scavenger hunt and be sworn in as Junior Rangers. Check with your local national park about activities being offered.
Many parks will be celebrating Earth Day on April 22. Visitors are invited to volunteer and learn more about the Leave No Trace Program, what to recycle and how to conserve energy and water.
