It’s the mother of all snowball fights, and it’s coming to Seattle Jan. 12. Best of all, it will raise money for the Boys and Girls Clubs of King County. This city-wide snow-day festival will conclude with an attempt to break the record for the world’s largest snowball fight. It’s estimated that 81 tons of snow (34 dump trucks) from the mountain passes will be trucked into lower Queen Anne for the event. The festival kicks off with a snow fort building competition with more than 40 local organizations. The festivities will be followed by a snowy pub crawl with participating bars and restaurants offering food and drink specials for participants.
