Seattle Parks and Recreation’s Big Day of Play is back and better than ever. Families from across Seattle will head to Magnuson Park Aug. 24 to revel in fun-filled activities that emphasize the importance of healthy foods and daily activity.

There will be live performances from acclaimed children’s music bands, Recess Monkey and School of Rock, as well as plenty of opportunities for fun and healthy activities led by Seattle Parks and Recreation and their community partners.

Attendees can test their nimbleness and wits in the NFL Play 60 obstacle course or team up with friends for the 3-on-3 basketball tournament. Children will love watching the dog agility course demo and, of course, visiting the Kid Zone.

Admission is free for the whole family. There will also be free shuttle bus transportation from select community centers throughout Seattle. Shuttle space is limited, so call ahead to reserve your seats
