The 2014 BeWild Speaker and Film Series is underway at the Mountaineers, and you’re invited! During the first BeWild presentation in April, expedition kayaker Ben Stookesberry shared stories and photographs from his adventurers.

Next in the series, May 16, two Expedition Denali climbers – Tyrhee Moore and Rosemary Saal – will recount their adventures up the highest peak in North America, Denali, to inspire a broader conversation about diversity in the outdoors on.

These two youths made their trek with several other African American and African role models on the 100th anniversary of the peak’s first ascent.

Expedition Denali was voted “Heroes of the Year” by Backpacker magazine. The group also received the Outdoors Inspiration Award from the Outdoor Industry Association.
