Skamania County, Wash.

The month of May marks the beginning of a new weekend bus service in Skamania County. The Gorge’s West End Transit (WET) has added four runs per day on Saturday and Sunday to help weekend adventurers access federal lands between Vancouver, Wash., and Washington’s Columbia River Gorge.

Bus stops provide easy access to the Cape Horn Trail, Bonneville Hot Springs, Bridge of the Gods, Dog Mountain Trailhead and several other local gems. The bus is wheelchair – and bike – friendly. Weekend service is seasonal and will run through Oct. 15.

Weekend rides are free for children under 12, 50 cents to $1 for youth 12-17 years old and $1-2 for adults. All-day passes can be purchased for $4.
