As part of a larger North American disbursement, the Conservation Alliance has granted a total of $195,000 to five grassroots conservation organizations in the Northwest, including the Klamath-Siskiyou Wildlands Center in Ashland, Ore., Oregon Natural Desert Association in Bend, the Wild Salmon Center in Portland, Ore., Trout Unlimited in Juneau, Alaska, and the Greater Yellowstone Coalition in Bozeman, Mont.

Grants will support projects to secure new wilderness designations in Washington and Oregon, protect wild rivers in Washington and Oregon, and protect threatened lands Oregon and Montana.

Each project was nominated by local Conservation Alliance member companies to receive funding.

“Our member companies continue to identify great projects for funding,” said John Sterling, Executive Director of the Conservation Alliance. “Our program gives our members the ability to contribute real dollars to protecting wild places in their backyards.”
