Win a Ski Day with Olympian Tommy Moe

Glacier Country Tourism hosts the Win Your Own Montana Mountain giveaway through Oct. 31.

The winner of the giveaway (and up to 10 friends) will receive a private day of skiing with 1994 Olympic gold and silver medalist Tommy Moe at Lost Trail Powder Mountain on Jan. 8, 2014.

“Western Montana is home to some of the best skiing in the West,” says Racene Friede, Executive Director of Glacier Country Tourism. “In some ways, our skiing is still undiscovered, especially at some of our off-the-beaten-path ski destinations.”

Lift tickets, ski equipment rental, food and beverage and a cash card of up to $1,000 for expenses will all be included as part of the private ski day with Moe.

Moe is a Whitefish, Mont., native who began his ski career at Whitefish Mountain Resort. While he has retired from ski racing, skiing remains a big part of his life. He is the co-owner of Tordrillo Mountain Lodge in Alaska, where he guides heli-skiing in the winters and heli-fishing in the summers.

“I love Montana,” says Moe. “I’m so excited to go back and ski one of its greatest ski-area gems in the southwest corner, Lost Trail. Plus, I’ll get to ski with 10 stoked people and have the mountain to ourselves!”

Lost Trail Powder Mountain is located in Montana’s Bitterroot Valley. The ski area receives an average of 350 inches of fresh snow each year and features 1,800 acres of terrain.
