Outdoors NW launches new logo, Pinterest contest

 

Outdoors NW magazine is launching a social media promotional week starting May 30, as well as introducing a new logo. The new logo, a simple evergreen tree on a green background, will go live on that date. There will also be unique videos and images using the new logo being debuted from May 30 – June 6 on the magazine’s Facebook page.

The magazine will also publish an online outdoor bag review, which will be linked to a contest on Pinterest, the online social pinboarding site. Whichever bag is repinned the most will be awarded to a lucky winner. The review and a recap of the contest will appear in the July/August print edition of Outdoors NW which will be released July 6.

New editor and social media strategist, Hilary Meyerson, who oversees the social media channels as well as the print editorial, has quadrupled the company’s Twitter followers since January. Don’t be left behind – make sure you’re following Outdoors NW in all its channels!

Duthie Hill rocks on June 8-9

The Evergreen Mountain Biking Festival is June 8-9 at Duthie Hill Park in Issaquah, Wash. Dirt-worshippers should head out for fun, food and prizes. It’s a great place to get the family started in mountain biking.
